Walnut and Maple Oat Cookies

My uncle had a bit of an accident with a saw the other day so I'm sending some home baked cookies his way to make him feel better I decided to maverick my bake as I have some maple syrup in the fridge and an open packet of walnuts which both needed using - the recipe was for jumbo oat cookies, so I used ideas from different recipes to change the sugar and add the extra ingredients.  They're not too shabby, even if I do say so myself

So here are some of the cookies along with the main ingredients I hope he likes them - I sacrificed some of my breakfast porridge oats for these bad boys!
