Artist's Comments

I got this canvas, a desktop easel, brushes and acrylic paints for christmas. It was my first time using acrylics properly, and my first painting on canvas.

This is the painting of my photo 'Stumpy Kitten'. Sadly Stumpy went missing last year and we haven't seen her since (but that's what you get with ferral farm cats), so this is the most up to date photo I have of her.

I really enjoyed doing this. It was fun trying something different, if a little frustrating in places (I had to learn to mix colours properly - something I've never really been good at). I was amazed at how it turned out, too, since I expected it to look terrible :deviation: and I was proud of it at pretty much every step.
